Beta Release & BOT Athletes

During the Beta release, you may notice some athletes in the app labeled with BOT. Here's what that means and why we use them.

Why We Use BOT Athletes

• Algorithm validation: BOT athletes help us validate our matching algorithms, efficiency calculations, and peer comparison features with realistic data before real users fill the platform.

• Cold start prevention: When the user base is small, BOT athletes ensure you can still see meaningful peer comparisons, leaderboards, and matching features instead of empty states.

Data Quality

• Human verified: All BOT athlete stats are human-verified to be as realistic as possible. They represent plausible training patterns, performance levels, and activity profiles for fair and useful comparisons.

Future Plans

• Before production: BOT athletes will be removed or heavily restricted before we launch to production.

• Long term: Once we have a large enough user base, BOT athletes will be completely removed. The platform will rely entirely on real athletes for peer matching and comparisons.
