Troubleshooting
Common issues and how to fix them.
Activities Not Syncing
Check your connection:
- Go to Integrations → Connected Devices
- Verify your Garmin account is connected
- If disconnected, reconnect your account
Verify Garmin sync:
- Make sure your device synced to Garmin Connect
- Check activities appear in your Garmin Connect account
- Wait a few minutes for sync to complete
First sync:
The first sync processes all your historical activities. This can take up to an hour depending on how many activities you have.
Missing Heart Rate Data
Some activities won't have heart rate data if:
- Your device doesn't record heart rate
- The heart rate sensor wasn't worn or connected
- The activity type doesn't support heart rate
Activities without heart rate will still sync, but efficiency calculations may be limited.
Performance Metrics Not Showing
Efficiency metrics require:
- Heart rate data
- Activity duration of 5+ minutes
- Valid activity type (running, cycling, etc.)
Check that your activity meets these requirements.
Map Not Displaying
Maps need GPS data. If a map isn't showing:
- The activity may not have GPS data
- The activity may be too short
- Try refreshing the page
Upload Issues
File type error:
- Make sure you're uploading a
.fitfile - Check the file extension is correct
File too large:
- Maximum file size applies during beta release
- Try exporting as .fit instead of .tcx (FIT files are typically smaller)
- Try exporting a simplified version from your device
Upload fails:
- Check your internet connection
- Verify the file isn't corrupted
- Try uploading one file at a time
See our Upload Activity Files guide for detailed instructions.
